I had the best St. Patrick’s day I’ve ever had this year. I went to Rockstar: Taste of Chaos which was a HUGE concert with like 8 bands playing. Just to name a few; Bullet for my Valentine, Atreyou, Blessthefall, Avenged Sevenfold were the bigger bands. There were a few local/smaller bands. It was absolutely amazing though. I was down on the floor with my Uncle and Brother. There were a couple of mosh pits, and I would get shoved around a bit but everyone else did so it was fine. There was lots of crowd surfing as well; that was interesting. A couple of people go thrown and landed on the ground but were fine. Near the end, during the last band (Which was Avenged Sevenfold, whom I love!) a guy was crowd surfing, got thrown and landed on my head. I had the worst headache the next few hours. Another thing during the last band, I was right up against the barrier. I was 5 feet from the stage. It was really cool! It was a really long concert. It was from like 4:30 until 11. I couldn’t have had more fun though!

NEW IPOD!!

So, I got my new ipod today. I’ve had on the last year or so, but it was a lovely pink color. No, it was not mine, it was my mother’s. I only used it, because my previous ipod from 2 years ago broke. So, for my birthday I asked all my relatives for just 35$ and I got it and then some! So I took 200, got my ipod and am going to put the rest into my bank account. I’m so excited though! I now have a ‘product’ red ™ Ipod instead of a pink one! YAY!

Great grandma

A few days ago my great grandma passed away. Tuesday (the 4th) was the viewing. It was very sad, and especially to see my great grandpa. He’s holding up well, but is very sad as you might imagine. Today was the actual funeral. It was really nice.  A bunch of people got up and shared stories growing up with her, or just being around her. I never knew how amazing she was as a grandma to my mom, uncle, and aunt. It was an amazing experience to go to that and actually learn more about her. Being there, for the viewing and the funeral really opened my eyes more. You think of somebody dying, it and doesn’t seem all bad. But when it’s somebody you know and really care for, it’s just a mind-blowing experience. Losing my great grandma was the first real death in the family that has affected me. There have been deaths before, but they were all other relatives that I never really knew. It’s just.. I don’t even know the right words for it. I can’t even seem to comprehend about someone can be there, and the next day they’re not.

BIRTHDAY WOO! Part 2

So, I had an amazing day. Got up at like 8:15 to a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEXT’ and was up from then. Aranged plans to go over to my friend Helene’s house at 12:30, and was there until 8. We played ddr, scene it dvd, watched a movie, took pictures, painted my nails (Hahahaha); Then our friend Jessica came over, and we did pretty much all of before, again. It was quite fun! Definetly one of the best birth’day’ s I’ve had in a while!

BIRTHDAY WOO

Woo! So, I’m typing this at 12:14 in the morning. I can’t sleep, and have been awake for the last like 23 hours! ^_^

Ice skating!

So, today I went ice skating with Amber and Emily. It was a ton of fun! But I found out ice skating is hard :( . I had a couple good falls, and at the end I had a really bad one. Hurt my bum and my forearm pretty badly. I have blisters all over my feet, and I couldn’t put any pressure on my right foot for about 2 hours. My ankle was pretty sore too, I’m limping! It was all because of those cheapo rental skates! Ha. It was a ton of fun though, It only took me about an hour to finally get it down! lol. Whoever didn’t come/get to go, you missed out! It was a ton of fun, and I want to go ice skating again as soon as possible!

Youth retreat

This past weekend, the 8-10th, our youth group had a youth retreat. It was awesome, as usual but this one was a little different for me. It wasn’t the lessons that were different, though I seemed to learn more from this one then past ones, but we had a foot washing. When we were first told about it I didn’t think anything of it, I thought it was just going to be a fun little event. We went through the lession, and then it was time to do the foot washing. I don’t know what it was, but it wasn’t until we were sitting in the circles that I realized how absolutely serious it was and I got a little uneasy. I am extremely glad I did it though, because I know I would have regretted it if I didn’t do it. I’m not sure, but once all the guys finished and we walked out of that room it REALLY hit me, and it was just an eye-opening experience for me. These retreats are always alot of fun to play games and get to hang out with friends, but there’s always at least one thing that’ll change you, and for me it was the foot washing. I never really thought about what foot washing was, I always thought it was just a way of thanking your guest for coming or something which I suppose it partially what it might be. But after doing it I realized it’s not just that. It’s so much more, and I couldn’t explain it if I wanted to. That was the serious part of the retreat, for the stupid, messing around part.. Well, I’ll let this do the talking; ahair.jpg
